About Mike Norris

One of the Midwest’s top professional tournament anglers, Mike’s extensive knowledge of fishing covers techniques from basic innovative strategies. This flexibility makes him as successful fishing for panfish and northern pike as he is at catching bass and walleye.

Mike’s expertise doesn’t end on the water. He is a dynamic seminar speaker, radio host, outdoors writer and photographer and frequently a guest on TV sport shows.

Mike hosts an hour long fishing show “Outdoors with Mike Norris”, broadcast on WBIG 1280 AM and heard throughout Chicago’s western suburbs each Thursday from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. He covers topics from tournament updates and local fishing reports to live interviews with nationally known fishing and hunting pros and product manufacturers.

An accomplished seminar speaker, Mike appears year round at major sports shows and fishing clubs. Mike founded “The Walleye Masters Institute”, the nation’s premier walleye fishing instructional school. He appears at major sport shows throughout the Midwest and his entertaining and informative seminars are very popular with local fishing clubs and retailer promotions.
